The Jaeger LeCoultre Memovox E855 is a landmark in horology: the first automatic alarm watch with a calendar function. Powered by the in-house calibre 825, this timepiece was introduced in 1959 and produced until 1969, with only about 67,000 units made.
Its distinctive “bumper” movement features an oscillating rotor that rotates approximately 270 degrees, using coiled springs to bounce back and forth. This edition is the rarer 37mm jumbo version, boasting a silver dial and steel radium dauphine hands.
The stainless steel case is in superb condition, and both crowns are original and signed. The movement runs well, and the alarm is clear and functioning. A true collector's piece for vintage watch enthusiasts.
