Our Story: A Different Way Forward
We are Alessandra and Vincent, a couple from Switzerland with a shared love for exploring the world. For us, travel has always been about connection: to new places, new cultures, and new perspectives. But in 2023, a trip to Bangladesh connected us to a reality we could no longer ignore.
There, we visited one of the many factories where fast fashion garments are made, and we saw firsthand the human side of an industry built on speed and disposability. It was a quiet, profound moment of reckoning. The connection between a low-cost t-shirt on a rack in Europe and the young hands that stitched it became undeniably, unforgettably clear.

We returned home changed, with a simple resolution: we would no longer be part of that system. From that day on, we committed to buying only secondhand and sustainable clothing.
It was a personal vow that quickly led to a shared frustration. As we tried to navigate this new way of shopping, we discovered just how difficult it was to get a clear picture of what was available. The landscape was a maze of different online platforms, local shops, and hidden gems. Finding the right piece felt like a full-time job, and we knew there had to be a better way. We thought, if we're struggling with this, others must be too.
That's why we created Loopli.
Loopli - Making Sustainable Fashion Shopping Easy
Loopli was born from a simple idea: to make the sustainable choice the easy choice. We wanted to build a single place where people like us could discover the full spectrum of sustainable and circular fashion in Switzerland. A place that not only helps you find beautiful pre-loved garments but also champions the entire ecosystem that keeps them in circulation.
Our mission is to support the principle of circularity in fashion—to celebrate the value of reusing what already exists instead of endlessly producing and discarding. We are here to promote the secondhand shops, the innovative Swiss creators, the talented upcyclers, and the essential repair services. We want to shine a light on everyone who helps save a garment from being thrown away.
From the beginning, it was clear for us: Loopli has no commercial agenda. We do not charge any fees to include brands or shops in our database. Our purpose is not to take a cut, but to build a community. We are here to help the movement grow, to connect conscious consumers with passionate creators, and to contribute our small part to a more thoughtful, sustainable future for fashion.
This is just the beginning of our journey. If you have a brand, a shop, or a service that shares this vision, we would love to hear from you.
Let's build a more circular world, together.
