John Galliano London Runway Jumpsuit, 1989Rare John Galliano London jumpsuit produced for the designer’s 1989 runway show.Tailored one-piece with Galliano’s signature draped shawl lapel, identical in cut to the white version seen on the runway.Made in a very dark prune / aubergine wool that appears black from a distance.The garment bears the original John Galliano London burgundy label with crest.Unlike later retail pieces from the same era, which typically feature attached white size and composition tabs, this example has only the burgundy label and no needle marks or traces of removed tags. This detail confirms that it was made specifically for the collection’s runway presentation or press samples, not for post-show commercial sale.No size label (as expected for runway production).
